Janet Melvin

Janet Melvin is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical and advanced nursing practice experience. She has earned a BS in Microbiology from Arizona State University, a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix, and plans on completing the Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2022. Having taught at the university level, Janet continues to intern nursing students to promote advancement in the field of nursing. Her philosophy and approach to practice are holistic, utilizing evidence-based and natural solutions. Her practice experience includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients in both post-acute, long-term care, and private practice settings. Her primary goal is to help you restore emotional, mental, and physical balance to your life.

Kanani is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). She first received her first Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continued her education to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing. She specializes in providing compassionate care, diagnosing mental illnesses, and developing personalized treatment plans to individuals across the lifespan. Her goal is to help individuals achieve optimal mental health, well-being, and lead fulfilling lives.

MAGGIE TALAMANTES

PMHNP-BC, MSN

Maggie Talamantes is a dedicated nurse with over 23 years of experience specializing in mental health and substance abuse care. She proudly served in the United States Army, deepening her commitment to service. Maggie holds a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree from Washburn University and is passionate about empowering her clients to achieve their best quality of life. As a bilingual provider, she is excited to offer services to a diverse range of clients, delivering compassionate and personalized care to help individuals overcome challenges and reach their personal goals.

Office Manager

As the Office Manager, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff. My focus on administrative excellence involves overseeing daily operations, and collections, managing scheduling and patient records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. By collaborating with our team, I contribute to delivering compassionate care while maintaining a smooth workflow. Through effective communication and support for quality improvement initiatives, I strive to enhance the overall patient experience and further our mission of promoting mental wellness.

Social Media Manager

As the social media manager, I oversee the social media presence of Samaritan Psychiatry and Wellness, ensuring strong connections with referral partners and potential patients. My role includes creating, curating, and scheduling engaging content, managing our social media accounts, and tracking audience engagement across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
